2-bedroom house for rent
Casa Oliveira is a T2 – a two-bedroom house. You enter via a short flight of steps leading to the front terrace, then to your own private terrace. Inside, you’ll find a living room with an open-plan kitchen. The two bedrooms are adjacent. The bathroom features a bathtub, shower, washbasin, and toilet. There is a large storage cupboard inside, to put your belongings or groceries, and a small area behind the house, where you could put your bike, for instance.
Below, you can see the living room with the open-plan kitchen. It is currently furnished with a sofa, a comfortable matching armchair, a coffee table, and a floor lamp. The kitchen includes a dining table with chairs, a refrigerator, a Bosch five-burner gas stove with an extractor hood, and a countertop with a double sink and dish rack. The two central cabinets can be replaced with a washing machine and a dishwasher – the electricity-, water- and drainage connections are already in place. The kitchen is new and custom-made. The idea is that you have the essentials needed to move straight in. It is ideal if you are emigrating and don’t want to bring too much with you, or if you plan to stay for a specific, limited period.
Furnished rental – or unfurnished, what you want
If you already own furniture or wish to buy your own, we can remove everything currently there; that is a matter of discussion. If you want to use the existing furniture, we’ll leave it in place. We can also add more items if you wishsuch as a full – set of kitchenware, including plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, pans, and serving dishes.

Two bedrooms and a very large closet
Kitchen (fully equipped or not) and a dining table with three lovely green chairs. Water is included – and it is pure 5-star quality spring water too. As long as the water keeps flowing (as it has for hundreds of years), the house comes with this water supply. Electricity is separate and billed based on usage. Gas (butane from Africa) is supplied in a bottle – which is standard for rural areas in Portugal.
Bathroom with bathtub
There is also a large bathroom featuring a bathtub (with a shower in it), a washbasin, and a toilet. And of course a grand mosaic – house style of Termas-da-Azenha. A tub is ideal for a family with a small child.
The house is fitted with double-glazed aluminum windows; the bedroom windows have insect screens. The screen door at the main entrance has already been removed – we always do this before the winter, as it isn’t needed then.
